This granola recipe originally came from my mom’s college roommate. I have it for breakfast at least 300 days a year.

6 c oats
1c wheat germ
1 3/4 c nuts: sliced almonds, pecan pieces
some cinnamon

1/2 c canola oil
1/2 c honey
1/3 c water
1.5 t salt
1.5 t vanilla

3/4 c sesame seeds
optional raisins

1. Combine and mix dry ingredients.
2. Combine and heat wet ingredients.
3. Mix wet and dry together, put into roasting pan
I use huge turkey pans
4. Roast at 350 degrees, stirring on this schedule:
30 mins
30 mins
20 mins
20 mins
to prevent burning until golden brown.

5. Add sesame seeds and allow to cool before storing
in airtight container. Add raisins once cool. Freezes well.

I typically make a 4x batch.
